Registration Introduction
We welcome your family to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Religious Education Program. We are honored that you are entrusting your child’s Religious Education to us! It is our goal to create an enriched learning environment that engages each child at IHM this year. We have an excellent teaching staff equipped with a wealth of knowledge who are dedicated to furthering your child’s faith formation.
Please take note of the following:
All information regarding your child’s religious education will communicated via email or sent through Flocknote. Please be sure to read the emails as they will contain pertinent information.

Please take some time to review our Program Policies and Code of Conduct with your child. We utilize the IHM School classrooms, and it is our expectation that our students respect the space and each other.
Teacher placements will be sent home via email from your catechist.
Once again, JoAnn Douglass will be assisting in the office this year. Please know that our office doors are always open! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. All emails will be answered in a timely manner.

What's New for 2026-2027
We are excited to announce some new and updated program offerings for the 2026/2027 Religious Education school year!
Whether you are new or returning family, we welcome you to the 2026-2027 Immaculate Heart of Mary Religious Education Program. We are honored that you are entrusting your child’s Religious Education to us! Our goal is to create an enriched learning environment that engages each child in our program
Registration will open on Thursday, June 4th at 9:00 AM.
Returning families will receive an email with the information needed to access their existing account on theParish Giving registration site.
New families must first setup an account on the Parish Giving registration site, by completing the New Family Account Form.
Standard Sessions: Grades K-3 Meeting on Mondays at 4:00pm - 5:15pm | Traditional Weekly Classes taught by a Catechist Grades 4-6 Monthly on Mondays at 4:00pm - 5:15pm | New Hybrid Program with one in-person and three online lessons per month Grades 7-8 Meeting on Wednesdays at 6:30pm - 7:45pm | Two Year Confirmation Program
Additional Session Options: For students in Grades 4-6 who would prefer traditional weekly classes taught by a Catechist instead of our new hybrid program we are offering the option of classes on Mondays from 5:45pm–6:45pm.
For students in Grades 7- 8 who are unable to attend the Wednesday Evening Confirmation Program we are offering the option of classes on Mondays from 5:45pm–6:45pm.
Due to constraints on our shared space and limitations on availability we can only offer these sessions at this scheduled time. Grades Kindergarten – 3:
Students will attend class weekly and learn through catechist instruction and textbook-based lessons.
Consistent participation is necessary to complete program requirements. Students are permitted no more than five (5) absences during the Religious Education year. Excessive absences may result in your child being required to repeat the year or delay receiving the sacrament.
Families will be required to participate in four Family Faith events throughout the year by the end of May.
A calendar will be provided with dates, lessons and activities.
There will be approximately nine in-person classes throughout the year. Only one absence due to illness will be permitted. Students may be asked to make up a session if they exceed the one absence.
Grades 4 – 6: In-person Program
Weekly in‑person option for families how cannot participate in the Hybrid program, we will offer a
Students receive a grade‑level textbook and are taught by a Catechist.
Families will be required to attend four Family Faith events throughout the year.
Grades 7 – 8: Two-Year Confirmation Program
Four short instructional books taught during class sessions.
Classes meet two weeks each month.
One additional week each month in which students will meet with their grade and their time together will be dedicated to a group activity such as church-based instruction, prayer experiences, or service-related formation.
One week off each month for students to focus on completing required service hours.
Students may not exceed three absences for the year. Because each class builds upon the previous lesson, regular attendance is required. Families who exceed the attendance limit may be asked to meet with the Director or Pastor to determine whether the student has successfully completed the program requirements and is prepared to receive the sacrament of Confirmation.
Service hours must be completed by the end of both 7th and 8th grade years.
Students' absences cannot exceed more than 3 missed classes for the year.
Students must successfully complete both years of the program in order to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
PLEASE NOTE: Grade 7 and 8 Students enrolled in the Monday sessions will follow the session schedule of the other weekly Monday classes. These classes will differ from the Wednesday program. Students will still be responsible for completing all requirements of the Confirmation program.
